Provided social due diligence support for the rehabilitation of major hydropower schemes in Nueva Ecija and Benguet provinces in the Philippines. Work was undertaken as part of the project financier’s independent engineer team and included assessment of rehabilitation activities against IFC Performance Standards and World Commission on Dams (WCD) criteria. Experience involved review of social performance, stakeholder engagement, livelihood and community considerations associated with restoring the productive capacity and long-term operational performance of existing hydropower infrastructure. 

Provided social performance and stakeholder engagement support for a proposed hydropower development project in Australia. Work included social impact assessment, stakeholder engagement and advisory services aligned with the International Hydropower Association (IHA) Sustainability Standard and IFC Performance Standards. Experience involved supporting social risk identification, community and stakeholder considerations, and development of fit-for-purpose approaches to inform project planning, approvals and responsible project development outcomes. 

Provided resettlement planning and stakeholder engagement support  including household and asset surveys for a proposed 500MW pumped hydropower energy storage project in the Philippines. Work included resettlement scoping, stakeholder engagement relating to land access and resettlement considerations, and coordination of planning studies including population census, socio-economic and asset surveys. Preparation of a Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) to support project planning, stakeholder disclosure in accordance with IFC performance standards requirements and lender expectations.
